Broadway Exploration: Let’s Put on a Play – The Quest for Pixie Dust

June 17th-21st
9:00am-4:00pm

In this mixed up fairytale, Captain Hook and Prince John discover that they are secretly brothers living in separate fairytale worlds. With this news, they collaborate on an evil scheme to capture the Queen Fairy and use her pixie dust to get everything they’ve ever wanted out of life. The heroes of the fairytale world learn of this evil collaboration and combine forces to save the Queen Fairy.

Morning Camp 9:00am-12:00pm
9am-10am In the first hours of camp, students will play drama games and activities to help them build their characters for the play as well as team building activities. Some students may have dual roles, so learning how to make two or three characters distinct from the others, learning drama and acting skills will be important.
10am-10:30am Students will begin to practice their scripts and set the play under the watchful eye of the play director.
10:30-11:00am Snack Break
11:00-12:00pm Students continue their Play rehearsal and practice.

Full day Campers, Lunch break is from 12:00-1:00pm

Afternoon Camp (Optional) 1:00-4:00pm
In this Behind the Scenes camp, students get an idea of how to be a part of the “Tech Crew.” This camp will include building and making of simple set pieces, costumes and props for the show. Students will get to work with raw materials including Foam Boards, Construction Paper, Paints, Glue Scissors, Fabric and more to bring their production to life.

On the Final Day of Camp, Campers will showcase what they’ve learned in class starting with their favorite camp games and activities and finish with their production from 11:00-12:00pm

For afternoon campers, the final day will be a free day.
